Santa Monica House of Rock Listed for Sale
A well-known property in Santa Monica, previously owned by actress Kathryn Grayson, has been transformed into a mansion/recording studio fit for a music mogul, and has been added to the list of homes for sale in Los Angeles County.
The property was last purchased by Elaine Culotti, owner of a local design firm, who then renovated the estate to include a recording space. Zillow reports that Grammy-winning producer Jack Joseph Puig had a role in creating the space, which could attract recording stars to the home. The 11,000-square-foot property has been listed with a $22 million asking price, considerably higher than the $7.7 million Culotti paid for it back in 2010.
Along with the studio, the Tudor-style home offers six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, perfect for a band or a family of a musician. Producers may also be attracted to the space, as it could be a great place for music-makers to escape to when working on albums.
