Cal Schools Going Green, Saving Green

THANK YOU California Solar Initiative!  As a direct result of our state’s visionary eco-friendly standard of living — more than 90 schools in the state are set to install solar panels to help them to power their buildings and facilities and save the state a substantial amount of money.

It has been estimated that green technology will save the state $1.5 billion over the next three decades, the source explains. This may mean that more revenue garnered from home and property taxes may go to things like supplies and updated technology for school children.

Solar panels will be installed in elementary and secondary schools as well as in institutions of higher learning. Sun Power, a local solar installer, will be handling the contract and installations will also include government incentives.
