The Aquarium staff does all the work of taking care of this unique animal, making adopting any of the center’s available sea creatures a hassle free way to connect with the marine life of the Santa Monica Bay. The California sea hare gets its name from its protruding rhinophores – structures on its head used for detecting scent that resemble bunny ears –  and making it a great species to “aquadopt” in the spring. Valid March 1-April 30, 2014.
