The Simpsons co-creator, Sam Simon, is selling his home in Santa Monica. The home first hit the market last February for $2.995 million but was recently re-listed for a much lower price of $1.995 million.

Simon has produced 446 episodes of The Simpsons and has worked on other television series including Cheers, Taxi, The George Carlin Show and The Drew Carey Show. He has also founded a charity for training animals to serve as guide dogs.

The home, originally designed and built for architect Thornton Abell, was constructed in 1937 and offers 2,778 square feet of living space including three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The home’s listing states that it is in need of repairs and suggests the separate guesthouse be torn down if the owner is restoring.

Despite its fixer-upper status, the home sits on just over a quarter acre and is located in the hills of Los Angeles County close to the beach.
